Whether it’s for carving or baking, pumpkins shine this time of year. And who doesn’t like to pick out your very own? I usually go to Olszanowksi Farm. That is the first place that our kiddos all spent their first corn maze adventure together. It is, to this day, one of my most treasured memories of them when they were small. There are plenty of other great places for pumpkin picking in and around Chester County that the whole family will love, and each one has their own unique characteristics! I’ve included some of my favorites below. Happy pumpkin hunting!
Where to find the best pumpkin picking in Chester County
Milky Way Farms – Chester Springs, pick your own, see some great farm animals, and ICE CREAM!
Marsh Creek Tree Farm – Elverson, pick your own, corn mazes, and hayrides
Linvilla Orchards – Media, a Philadelphia-area favorite. Some weekends are also offering beer and wine festivals.
Colonial Gardens – Phoenixville, their haunted hayride is so much fun, and they have private rides available too!
Grandma Zook’s – Glenmoore, fantastic plant selection, local sweets, and 100 pound pumpkins!
Highland Orchards – West Chester, Philly favorite, open year round.
Barnards Orchard – Kennett Square, great place for kids, and a fantastic apple selection too.
Sugartown Strawberries – Malvern, kids will
Hurricane Hill Farms – Coatesville, corn mazes and great pick your own. Reservations needed.
Varner Farms – Collegeville
Olszanowski Farm – Spring City, nighttime bonfires for smores, corn mazes, and pumpkins galore.
And if you are feeling adventurous and want to leave Chester County – head to Merrymead Farms in Lansdale. I saw a cow being born there when I was 9! It was awesome.
Many of our favorites offer lots of other family-friendly fun weekends in September and October, including hayrides, apple picking, great produce, delicious sweets, and corn mazes. To note – due to COVID restrictions, we recommend that you check each locations’ websites for ticketing information. Reservations for pumpkin picking are required in advance at some locations.
